Item 29: Electronic Drawing Barrel (EDB) Promotions
29.1 System Description
The Electronic Drawing Barrel (EDB) is a computerized random selection system operated by Blue Lake Casino Hotel. Entries are deposited electronically—either automatically through slot machine play, manually by a Marketing Representative for table games and bonus entries, or through other methods specified in the Promotion Specific Rules.
29.2 Entry Activation — Slot Play
- Players earn entries according to the “How to Earn” section of the Promotion Specific Rules.
- Entries are not deposited into the EDB until the player’s Redwood Rewards card is removed from the slot machine card reader.
- Players must remove their card prior to the entry cutoff time to activate earned entries for that drawing.
- A five-minute warning will be announced prior to each drawing. This announcement serves as the final cutoff for automatic entry deposits. Cards removed after this announcement may not be included in the drawing.
29.3 Entry Activation — Table Games
- Table games entries are calculated based on closed ratings.
- Players must bring table games entries to the Redwood Rewards Club for manual entry into the EDB by a Marketing Representative.
- The line for manual entry deposits will be capped thirty (30) minutes prior to the scheduled drawing time.
29.4 Free and Bonus Entries
Players must check in at the Redwood Rewards Club to receive and deposit any free or bonus entries. Manual entry cutoff times apply per Item 29.3(c).
29.5 Entry Verification
Players may verify their entry count at the Redwood Rewards Club. Verification requests should be made at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled drawing to allow adequate processing time. Entry counts are final once the drawing begins.
29.6 Drawing Procedures
- Drawings will be conducted according to the schedule in the Promotion Specific Rules.
- A Marketing Representative will conduct each drawing using the EDB user module.
- The selected winner will be announced via the casino PA system and displayed on TV monitors throughout the casino.
- Winner names may be abbreviated on display monitors due to character limitations. The official winner is determined by Player ID as recorded in the Oasis 360 system.
29.7 Winner Claim Process
- Selected winners must report to the designated claim area within the time limit displayed on casino monitors and specified in the Promotion Specific Rules.
- It is the winner’s sole responsibility to be attentive to PA announcements and monitor displays.
- If a selected winner does not claim their prize within the allotted time, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner will be automatically selected.
- Once an alternate winner is selected, the previous selection is invalid for that drawing.
- A Marketing Representative will confirm the verified winner in the EDB system to officially close each drawing.
29.8 Duplicate Winners
Unless otherwise specified in the Promotion Specific Rules, a player may be selected as a winner multiple times during a promotional session. Any restrictions on multiple wins will be stated in the Promotion Specific Rules.
29.9 System Failure Procedures
- Brief Outage (under 20 minutes): If the EDB is offline at a scheduled drawing time but restored within twenty (20) minutes, the drawing will be held immediately upon restoration. All entries valid at the original drawing time remain eligible.
- Extended Outage (20 minutes or more): The affected drawing will be postponed to one (1) hour following the final scheduled drawing of that promotional session.
- Multiple Drawings Affected: Each postponed drawing will be held sequentially in original scheduled order following the final scheduled drawing of the session.
- Overnight or Extended Failure: If the EDB cannot be restored during the promotional session, affected drawings will be rescheduled to the next available promotional date, not to exceed seven (7) calendar days. All qualified play during the postponement period shall generate additional entries. Entries earned prior to system failure remain valid.
- Promotion Cancellation: If systems cannot be restored within seven (7) calendar days, affected drawings will be cancelled. Management may redistribute affected prizes to future promotions or offer alternative compensation at its sole discretion.
- Partial System Failure: If winner selection functions but displays malfunction, winners will be announced via PA system and posted at the Redwood Rewards Club. If displays function but selection malfunctions, postponement procedures in (a) through (e) apply.
29.10 Official Records
Electronic entry records maintained in the Oasis 360 player tracking system constitute the official record for all EDB drawings. In the event of any discrepancy between player records and system records, Oasis 360 data shall prevail.
