Humboldt County is home to some of the tallest and oldest trees on Earth. Redwood National and State Parks, Prairie Creek Redwoods, and Grizzly Creek Redwoods are all within easy driving distance. Walk among ancient giants, drive the Avenue of the Giants, or find a quiet trail and disappear into the forest for an afternoon.

The Coast

The Pacific Ocean is just a short drive west. Trinidad Head, Moonstone Beach, and the rugged cliffs of Patrick’s Point State Park offer some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in California. Bring layers — this is wild, beautiful coastline at its finest.

Arcata & Eureka

The college town of Arcata and the historic waterfront city of Eureka are both minutes away. Browse the Arcata Plaza shops, catch a show at the historic Arcata Theatre, explore Old Town Eureka’s galleries and restaurants, or visit the Humboldt Bay waterfront.
